Picture taken in the installation piece Out Of Focus, part of the Power Cut exhibition of the IFFR. It shows four projections of Beirut in the early nineties. What makes it absolutely great is the POWER OFF switch of one of the four beamers. I’m not sure if this is done on purpose by the artist, Salah Saouli, or that it’s just a technical error. But it’s an excellent metaphor for the situation in the middle eastern region today.
