‘Vouwen bevinden zich in de ziel en bestaan alleen authentiek in de ziel. Dat geldt al voor ‘aangeboren ideeën’: het zijn pure virtualiteiten, pure krachten waarvan de handeling bestaat uit habitus of ordeningen (vouwen) in de ziel, en waarvan de voltooide handelingen bestaan uit een innerlijke actie van de ziel (een interne ontplooiing). Maar dit geldt niet minder voor de wereld: de hele wereld is slechts een virtualiteit die momenteel alleen bestaat in de plooien van de ziel die haar overbrengen, waarbij de ziel innerlijke plooien implementeert waardoor zij zichzelf een representatie van de omsloten wereld schenkt. We gaan van inflectie* naar inclusie in een subject, alsof we van het virtuele naar het reële gaan, waarbij inflectie de plooi definieert, maar inclusie de ziel of het subject definieert, dat wil zeggen wat de plooi omhult, de uiteindelijke oorzaak en de voltooide handeling ervan.
